1. The arrangement
TJ Tutoring Academy will provide online tutoring based on the subjects, level, schedule and frequency agreed with the parent or guardian. The parent or guardian agrees to provide accurate information about the student's needs and relevant school or examination requirements.
2. Sessions
Sessions are normally delivered online at the agreed time. The student should be ready with the required device, connection and learning materials. Tutors may set practice work or recommend resources where appropriate.
3. Communication and progress
We aim to keep communication practical. Tutors may provide short weekly notes about what was covered, areas that need more practice and the next focus. Progress updates are intended to support the parent; they are not formal school reports.
4. Fees
The applicable lesson fee and payment schedule will be confirmed before lessons begin. Where payment is required in advance, unpaid sessions may be paused until the account is brought up to date.
5. Rescheduling
If a student cannot attend, please contact us as early as possible. We will try to move the session where the tutor's availability allows. Repeated late cancellations or missed sessions may be treated according to the specific booking arrangement.
6. Tutor absence
If a tutor cannot attend, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session or provide another suitable arrangement. We will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Safeguarding and conduct
Students, parents and tutors are expected to communicate respectfully. Any concern about a student's safety or welfare should be raised promptly with the Academy. We may suspend or end a tutoring arrangement where conduct creates a serious safety or professional concern.
8. No guaranteed result
Tutoring is designed to improve understanding, confidence and exam readiness, but no tutor or Academy can guarantee a specific mark, grade or examination result.
9. Ending the arrangement
Either side may ask to end ongoing tutoring. We will settle any outstanding sessions or credits according to the payment arrangement that applies.
